WEDDING WEDNESDAYS // THE GREEN RIBBON PARTY PLANNING CO.

One of the first things we did after booking our venue was search for a coordinator. Most of our wedding is going to be DIY and the venue provides nothing but the actual space. That means we need to have every last detail planned out - who sets up the tables, when should the cake go out, where do you find event servers, etc...

So many of our friends and family have offered to help on the day of, which we're so thankful for and will absolutely be accepting, but I knew we'd need someone to be in charge of the day and make sure the execution stays true to our vision - conduct the day if you will! I started my search on The Knot and Craigslist and the people that I kept finding were really a dime a dozen - had claimed to do event coordinating but had no references, pictures, ideas...you get the picture.

Then one day I came across this post on Style Me Pretty and knew that I needed the help from whoever was behind this beautiful wedding.

Enter Nicole from The Green Ribbon Party Planning Co.

After talking to her about our vision, budget and ideas I knew we had met our match. We immediately booked her and she has been so so helpful ever since. Spending hours with me on Facetime discussing every little detail, giving us so many great ideas and also (thankfully!) telling me when my ideas are not going to work.

We haven't even had our wedding yet, but I can already tell that having a professional coordinator or planner (especially when your venue doesn't provide an on-site one) is a must.

Stop by Nicole's website to see the rest of her gorgeous events or email her about her services at nicole@greenribbonparties.com.

FRIDAY'S FAB $15 // WEST ELM MARKET II

Hey guess what?! We made it to Friday! I actually had one of the shortest feeling weeks in my life this week because my mom was here and the time wizzed by. I'll be sharing pictures from her trip with you sometime next week.

A few months back, when West Elm first launched their Market line, I shared my under $15 picks with you. Well, they just keep adding new goodies every week and it's once again time to share my favorites with this week's Fab $15! Everything in the Market line is timeless, quality (from what I've experienced) and pretty. What would be your picks? Share with me!

TAMAR SHALEM SHOES

I came across Tamar Shalem shoes on Etsy and would love to get my hands (I mean feet) on a pair. Made in Tel Aviv, each pair is made with genuine leather by hand. Doesn't get much better than an old-school custom made shoe... actually I've never even owned one, but I imagine it's pretty comfy.

Above, the heart marks my favorite from his collection. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

FRIDAY'S FAB $15 // MAXI SKIRTS

I found these skirts from eBay on Pinterest this week and am in love! Starting at under $15 (price goes up for the longer you want the under liner), there are 25 color choices and as a bonus for tall gals, you can add length for no charge! I ordered the "golden" color and am excited to get it. It's one size-fits-all so I'll let you all know how it fits and looks when I get it. For the price of dinner, you can't really go wrong getting one though. Gotta love a good maxi skirt.

You can order one for yourself here.

A FRESH SWEDISH HOME

Channeling a little bit of my Swedish roots today while daydreaming that I lived in this home featured on Hus & Hem. Love everything about it - the mix of vintage with a little touch of industrial. Now why can't I get my house to look this good? A white canvas makes everything look so bright and fresh. If I could only talk my landlord into letting me paint my floors white... I would. I really really would. Check out more pictures from this home over here (like me, you just might have a hard time reading if if you don't speak Swedish).

FAB $15 // IPHONE CASES

The same iPhone cover has been on my phone for way too long now. It's in need of a desperate facelift. With so many cute iPhone covers and skins out there these days - why not change them up more? Aren't they the accessory people see the most? Here are four cute picks that I found that I may need to put on my sad looking phone.

WEDDING WEDNESDAYS // WE CALL THIS LOVE

Three weeks to go until our engagement pictures! We had plans to take them a few weeks ago but the weather forecast did not agree. We are so thrilled to have Kimberly Genevieve doing our engagement and wedding pictures. Her new wedding website, We Call This Love, is now live and bursting with gorgeous pictures of couples and their wedding days.

We are heading up to Malibu for all of the pictures. I'm still a little nervous about what to wear for engagement pictures, how to stand, etc. but I'm sure the perfect scenery and Kimberly's amazing talent will help us look a little better and less awkward than our normal pictures, haha.

Either way, can't wait to have her and her boyfriend, Andre, be a part of our big day. Check out all of their gorgeous wedding and engagement photography here.

This week marks six months to go til the big day, eeee!

GEMS // THRESHOLD AT TARGET

Target has always been a staple in my life - sad but true. In college when my roommates and I would get bored we would go there and aimlessly wander the aisles. I still do today and I swear the saying is true that Target has a $200 cover fee. Their new(ish) line, Threshold, which recently replaced their Target Home line is not making this money situation any better. Every time I go in there are cute new home decor pieces from Threshold and I typically can't say no! A lot of the pieces  remind me of West Elm  - just a little cheaper and maybe not the HIGHEST quality - but still decent. I'm having a lot of fun starting to build out my registry and this brand is creeping over the whole thing!

KJELTEN'S BABY ROOM REVEAL

A few weeks ago I shared photos of my sister Krista's gorgeous home in Maine. This week, I'm excited to share some pictures I took of her little peanut's room, Kjelten. Once again, I love how classic her style is and she has a good eye for mixing a little of the new with the old - like the colorful story book collection we had growing up that she now has on his shelf. Aren't they just the cutest?
