WEDDING SUCCULENTS

There is a very weak part of my heart for succulents. Big, small, tall, short... I don't discriminate. Whenever I see them I have to buy them. I'm loving the way they are being incorporated into so many weddings these days and can't wait to mix them in with flowers at my own. There are so many unique ways to use them - centerpieces, giveaways, design elements and in your bouquets.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE: BATHROOM

Bathrooms and kitchens really overwhelm me if they are too busy. I've been guilty in the past of buying things with a gazillion different patterns and styles just because they were cute - kitchen towels, containers, dishes, knick knacks, you name it.

In the past few months I've been trying to simplify a lot of things in my life and clutter is definitely one of them! My goal is to get rid of a lot of my mismatched pieces and develop one simple palette that I can stick to - with storage to hide the uglies. Greys and whites seem to be my go-to for simple colors and that's exactly what inspired my new bathroom mood board. Well, with a little splash of gold, of course.

And really, what would Don Draper do?

It's true. Slowly getting there. Still a lot of work to do. Feeling stronger, happier and ready for what's next. But the best has got to be yet to come.

FRIDAY'S FAB $15 // IPHONE CASES BY FIELD TRIP

In the spirit of the new iPhone 5 being released this week, I thought incorporating the iPhone into this week's Fab $15 would only be appropriate. I stumbled across Field Trip on Etsy and wanted to add each and every one of their items to my cart. Their iPhone skins, in particular, are so fun, as well as their prints (look at this cute monogrammed one- baby room anyone?). The best part of all? They are all only $12 so you don't have to limit yourself with just one. I had a hard time picking just four for this post!

Who doesn't love a good bargain? Old Navy always surprises me with some of their pieces. This fall, I'm pleasantly surprised with these picks.

ANEMONES

Wedding plans are slowly moving forward. Sorry I haven't had the chance to do a lot of updates on here! My latest decision is to take on the flowers on my own (except for probably the bouquets). It's fun and daunting at the same time. I'm having fun learning what I do and don't like and reading up as much as possible about arranging.

My latest flower obsession is the anemone flower. I think it is so gorgeous with it's unexpected black eye in the middle. The colors it comes in are beautiful! I just can't get enough. What do you think? Did you do any of your own flower arrangements? Any tips? The adventure continues...

FRIDAY'S FAB 15 // 09.14.12

Yay! We made it through another week. It's been SO hot here in San Diego - 100 degrees today, can you believe it? Hoping to stay inside this weekend and drink lots of smoothies, with the fan blasting, in a cold bath, listening to Christmas music. Too far?

STEAL VS. SPLURGE: GOLD TRIANGLE GLASSWARE

I've had my eye on this DwellStudio glass (left image, $63) for a while now and was so excited to find this (right image, $6) look-alike candle holder at Target the other day for a fraction of the price. You can't deny the shine that the real DwellStudio glass has but the Target version is a great option for those on a budget!

Pardon the photo quality of the Target version photo - I can't find it online but found mine in the store near their other candles and home decor.

FANTASY WEDDING - BHLDN

BHLDN, or "Beholden", Anthropologie's wedding line is always full of lovely little gems. From bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses to cake cutters and dessert plates, it really does have everything you could possibly need for a gorgeous wedding. They tend to be a bit pricey in my personal opinion, but I find it to be a great source of inspiration and ideas!

These are just a few of my favorite picks from their new line. Loving all the coral, as always...

FALL STYLE PICKS

My apologizes for being m.i.a. this past week. This San Diego heatwave has had me completely unmotivated to do anything but sit on my couch with an air conditioner and watch HGTV and dream of cooler weather. Lucky for us, fall is right around the corner. I can't wait for the days of pumpkin lattes, Halloween candy and cozy sweaters!

As we transition into fall (sooner hopefully than later), there are so many pieces that I hope to incorporate into my wardrobe. I'm loving that bright colors, dots and chambray aren't going anywhere - at least not in my closet!
