Much to my surprise, I got a nice little present this weekend for my finger. My boyfriend of almost five years, Kim, popped the question at the beach and I said yes! We couldn't be more excited and are just trying to enjoy the new bliss of it all before the planning fun (madness) begins. Thanks for all the sweet comments I already received on Facebook and Instagram from so many of you, means the world to me!

1 // Simple DIY pillow decorating tutorials by Ez at Creature Comforts, aka, one of my all time favorite blogs. I love this idea and think I'm going to try it for myself and some gifts. Oh, and that dog cannot go unmentioned!

2 // Have a party coming up? Glitter Guide has a wonderful DIY Fringe Balloons tutorial up this week. Fringe balloons are so darn cute and now someone has finally explained how to make them.

3 // Felt Coffee Koozies that you can make yourself! A DIY tutorial is available at Helana & Ali, the dear Tracey's blog.

4 // Also adore these fun Layered Paper Words by Fellow Fellow. How creative is that!

Happy first day of summer y'all! I've been seeing so many bloggers creating playlists on Spotify. As a recent convert to the program and as a life-long mix-maker (be that taping songs off the radio onto a cassette or the hundreds of CD mixes I found last week when I was home), I've created a fun playlist for summertime. Here is my playlist. It includes some of my favorite songs of all time and this summer. Click on the link below, install Spotify and enjoy!

Hello, hello! I was right, I couldn't stay away from this blog for a whole month. Three weeks will have to suffice! While I have been out I have done a ton and nothing at the same time (know the feeling?).

I went home for ten wonderful days to Minnesota to see my family and friends but most importantly to see my cousin Kelsey get married. We had a blast and it was great to see everyone and let down a little bit. Trips home are always go-go-go though, so I honestly came back more tired than when I left. Worth every (waking) minute though!

The move has been a slow but sure thing. Everything is moved in but I'm further behind than I would like to admit on the decorating/finding a place for all my things phase. The additional space is lovely though and I am taking full advantage of the new dishwasher in my life.

Lastly, I'm in the middle of the Blogging Your Way e-course with Holly Becker form Decor8. I'm learning so much from so many amazing teachers and am feeling refreshed on the blogging front and ready to kick-start it back up.  Been a little behind on the readings and homework but hope to get all caught up this weekend. I know I said it before, but really, if you are thinking about starting a blog or need a course on it, take this class!

Photo Summary:
01. Otis watching the birds from the sofa.
02. (Most) of my family at cousin's wedding.
03. The new abode!
04. (Stayed) up to see the sunrise on Lake Harriet, whoops!
05. Hunt & Gather, my favorite Minneapolis antique store.
06. Out with my girlfriends for Grand Old Days in Saint Paul
07. My mom gardening outside my childhood home.

I've decided to take a mini vacation from the blog for the month of June. I'm going to miss this little guy but will be so busy this month that I just have to focus on a few other adventures.

Why will I be so busy you may ask?

Well, moving of course is taking up a lot of time and energy- especially if you are like me and are obsessed with decorating and redecorating your new space. It's a time sucker.

And, Saturday, the day after I'm officially moved into my new place, I will be heading home to Minnesota for ten days of R&R to spend time with my family and friends and see my cute little cousin Kelsey get married.

I'm also very excited to be taking the Blogging Your Way 2.0 e-course from Holly Becker of Decor8. I took her first Blogging Your Way course last fall and found it so wonderful that I've decided to move on to the second course. If you are a blogger or thinking about starting a blog, I 100% recommend participating. This summer's course is sold out but she teaches them a few times a year. The things you learn and relationships you make are invaluable. The class runs all of June so I want to dedicate all my blogging "juice" to learning and being active in the lessons.

Hope that explains it. And who knows, maybe I'll pop in once or twice to say hello! I hope you all have a wonderful start to your summer and I'll see you back here in the heat of it. You can of course follow all my moving and trip adventures through my Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts.
